I'm back online after 6 weeks away -- and yes, it went too fast!
Let me catch you up on our summer in a few paragraphs...
NORA:
Volleyball camp. Braces! 😬 Got hooked on The Home Edit and now organizes everything in rainbow color order. Reading: the entire 40-book Mandie Series . SIMON:
Basketball and football camps. Outside every minute of every day. Our silly child -- I can't ever get a good picture of him. Reading: mostly joke books and sports fact/history books. JAMES:
Basketball and football camps (with Simon). Celebrated his 8th birthday! 🎉 Always up for any sporting event (playing or watching). Reading: the entire Ballpark Mystery Series . CLARA:
Swimming lessons with her cousin. Uno player extraordinaire. Still refuses to ride her bike, but she's catching on to rollerblading. Reading: Franklin, Berenstain Bears, and Henry & Mudge (we read to her). BUSTER:
Sleeps through the night!!! Got his first haircut. Rarely has accidents inside anymore. Living his dream life outside by the pool. DAVE:
Traveled to Israel for 16 days with a group of teachers. DIY'ed a solar heater for our pool! Plays hours of sports and games with the kids outside. Reading: lots of Harry Potter and various "Israel" books. ANDREA:
Hosted my friend Laura for a long weekend. Celebrated 38 years + our 17-year anniversary. Painted/stained the fence around our pool. Reading: a dozen Lynn Austin books FAMILY:
Countless pool parties with friends, relatives, neighbors & classmates. Gatherings with each of our extended families. Decluttered ALL the kids' clothes, toys, games, books, sporting gear, etc. Watched the 2019 version of The Lion King -- so good! We're getting excited for school to start (we all love "routine) but still soaking up these last 3-4 weeks of summer.
