FRA recently announced the availability of $5,000,000 in funding to establish a center to advance research and development efforts that seek to improve the safety, performance, and sustainability of freight, intercity passenger, and commuter rail. Applications to the grant program are due no later than 5:00 p.m. ET, July 3, 2023. Visit FRA's Rail Research and Development Center of Excellence Grant Program webpage for more information. FRA appreciates your interest in important research to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable movement of people and goods by rail.
