Recording and Presentation Now Available: PTASP Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Webinar FTA hosted a webinar on May 10 to discuss proposed new requirements to the Public Transportation Agency Safety Plans (PTASP) rule and how to submit comments on the proposed changes. The presentation and recording of the webinar are now available for reference. To protect transit workers and riders, FTA is proposing new safety requirements authorized under President Biden's Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.  A Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) was published in the Federal Register on April 26, 2023. In the proposed updates to the PTASP rule, FTA will codify communication between frontline transit workers and management, an important measure to address worker assaults. Public comments on the NPRM must be submitted by June 26, 2023.
