New On The Blog: Our Farmhouse Front Porch Welcome back to this little corner of the internet! Hopefully your week is off to a good start... but even if it's not, I hope you find a few moments of peace and quiet to read through today's email. I hear from so many of you who "save" my email until kids are in bed or until your lunch break at work, and I just love knowing this weekly newsletter offers you a brief break from the more hectic pace of your day. And after all these years, I'm finally getting around to sharing a full tour of my beloved front porch -- with tons of pictures! Keep reading --> Our Farmhouse Front Porch Tour Intentional Living. As we gear up for long summer days (literally and figuratively) I'm re-sharing my thoughts on "preparing to be productive"... even in the summer. Don't trick yourself into thinking summers aren't good unless they are "lazy". I guarantee you and your family will enjoy your summer more if you have some sort of plan (for work and play). Learn more --> Why We Prepare to Be Productive In other news... Nora celebrated her half birthday earlier this week -- 11.5! She's getting braces this summer and will be off to middle school next fall -- crazy! The older 3 had their final piano recital last night. Nora played "The Star Spangled Banner". Simon played "Hail, To the Victors" (the U of M fight song). James played "Take Me Out To the Ballgame". They all had VERY specific recital song requests -- and you better believe they practiced so much better and harder and longer for a song they were really excited to learn! Buster's Pic-Of-The-Week... He's mostly sleeping through the night these days (9pm - 5am) so that's been helpful. Our biggest issue right now is that he tries to eat EVERYTHING (even his own poop). And... we officially opened the pool this weekend. The kids jumped in when it was only 67ºF -- Clara said it was "so warm". 🤪 That's all for this week... Happy Memorial Day! to those of you in the U.S. Andrea |
