Tokens just bring more trouble, Geckos?

After the launch of Arbitrum's governance token, ARB, the community is now up in arms after the governance DAO's first vote has gone sour.

Although token holders were heavily against the first proposal, AIP-1, the team had gone ahead and executed several token transfers in relation to the proposal, citing that the vote was more of a formality.

Since then, the team has backtracked on its decision, choosing to break down AIP-1 into multiple parts, which would be voted on separately.

BRC Goes Brrr

Bitcoin's Ordinals have reached another all-time high for daily inscriptions, thanks to a new token standard known as BRC-20.

Over 51,000 inscriptions were recorded yesterday, surpassing the previous daily high of 31,692 inscriptions generated on March 9.

Similar to Ethereum's ERC-20 standard, the BRC-20 token standard adds additional utility to Ordinals, allowing developers to deploy contracts, mint new tokens and transfer existing ones to other addresses.

Allbridge's Ultimatum

After Allbridge was hit by a $573,000 exploit over the weekend, the cross-chain protocol is giving a chance for the attacker to come clean as a white hat hacker and accept a bug bounty for their actions.

On April 1st, blockchain security firm Peckshield alerted Allbridge to the exploit, which saw its BUSD and USDT liquidity pools drained through a flashloan attack.

In a recent series of tweets, the protocol is currently working with multiple projects and law enforcement entities to identify the perpetrator.

Earlier in March, the US government began selling the Bitcoin that was seized from the Silk Road marketplace, netting over $215 million.

According to the latest court filings, authorities sold close to 10,000 BTC - and they still have more than 41,000 left, amounting to approximately $1.1 billion.

Back in November 2022, authorities seized over 50,000 bitcoins from hacker James Zhong which had been hidden for over 10 years.
