New on the Blog: How to make the most of your freezer space. Christmas is all packed away, our home smells of freshly-baked sourdough bread, the freezer is filling back up again, and I've been plowing through a stack of novels -- all signs that the holiday busyness is gone and the slower days of winter have settled in. I'm not complaining! Speaking of taking down holiday decorations... I have a fun experiment for you to try in your home! As you take down your holiday decorations, leave the spaces empty for a few weeks before putting your "normal" decor back up again. I've often found that I appreciate "less" for a bit, and then I enjoy my normal decorations more when it's time to bring them back in again. Either that or I decide to declutter and donate them! This is what the boys did with their beds over the weekend. They say they are "rivals" whenever Michigan State plays the University of Michigan... but they are truly best buds. 💚💙 Many of you have asked about the "snowman gifts" picture in my last email... They were stacks of gifts for each of our children. ⛄️⛄️⛄️⛄️ We used 12 boxes (4 large, 4 medium, 4 small) and put various gifts inside each one (you could also do one gift per box). We wrapped everything in white craft paper and added black circles + an orange triangle cut out of construction paper. I tied red ribbons as scarves and topped them with Santa hats (and one top hat). The process was quite simple and they were a HUGE hit! 🥰 Nora (10 years ago this week)... and now both of my BIG girls! And just one more quick shout-out for my favorite News source -- The Pour Over. For years, I intentionally stayed away from the News because it all felt so negative. Now I thoroughly enjoy reading my emails 3 times each week.
