An Ethically Sourced Jadeite Offtaker

As of Thursday last week The Cointelligence Fund committed to make an investment into a very exciting new project called Jade Vault Ltd. In addition, On Yavin, Cointelligence Fund's managing partner, has personally joined the advisory team of its future blockchain powered Jadeite NFT trading and staking platform called Jade City.

Jadeite (Jade) is a precious gemstone that has been traded, mainly in China, for over 6,000 years. The Jadeite market is estimated to be worth approximately $50billion per year and the world's mineable reserves are running out. Through a mineral offtake agreement and shared ownership, Jade Vault has partnered with Jade Resources Ltd, who hold the rights to mine the largest known remaining deposit of Jadeite in the world.

Jade Vault Ltd is on a mission to build and trade the largest inventory of processed Jadeite in the world and furthermore revolutionise the way Jadeite is traded by developing an innovative new marketplace using utilising multichain interoperable blockchain technology and NFT's.

Jade Vault was founded in June this year and in a very short period of time has financed mining operations to commence, mining 15million Kgs of raw jadeite to date. To put this into perspective, annual world production of Jadeite normally sits at around 35-40million kg. Small scale export of the raw Jadeite to China in containers has already begun and once in China the raw Jadeite will be processed before being sent on to the vault in Dubai.

Jade City is the name of Jade Vault's blockchain powered digital marketplace. Jade City is presently in an early stage of development and aims to go live in Q2 2024. As Jade City grows it will evolve into an entire blockchain-powered Jadeite Economy.

Jade City will be the first platform where Jadeite can not only be safely traded and stored, but users will also be able to earn, play and shop in tokenised physical Jadeite while also taking part in the governance of the City.
