New on the Blog: Easy Baked Oatmeal Each week, my inbox gets a handful of requests for time management tips --specifically how to fit the many need-to-dos AND want-to-dos into each day. Certainly, after all these years, I must have a secret I haven't shared yet... right?!? 😉 I suppose the balance between need-to-dos and want-to-dos can feel elusive at times, but... the simple truth of the matter is that as adults, we have more control over our time than we think. Yes, we need to fulfill our various duties at home, work, church, etc. but so many of the time pressures we feel weighed down by are self-inflicted. My challenge for you this week is to pause EVERY time you start to think or say, "I don't have time for ________" and instead, consider if there's a way you could MAKE TIME for it. (This is supposed to be motivational and empowering, not guilt-inducing, so don't let that guilt creep in.) Next, make a list of 2 or 3 things you want to MAKE time for this week, and then make it -- even if that means moving your schedule around. In my experience, I always find time for the need-to-dos that actually need to be done when I make time for a few of my want-to-dos (like lounging on the beach in the middle of a gorgeous day when no one else is there. 😎) Simple Food. Weekends shouldn't be jam-packed and chaotic. These strategies will help you enjoy a slower, simpler, more restful weekend (starting this week!) I'm using the month of September to intentionally unsubscribe from dozen and dozens of email lists... and the results have already proven beneficial. Give it a try if your inbox is feeling a little cluttered (hopefully not by unsubscribing to my email though! 🙄) I finally met a Lisa from Organize 365 over the weekend. We've been online friends since 2010, and helped each other numerous times with our businesses and blogs, but we've never officially met. We had a great time "catching up" and she got the full farmhouse tour from the kids! Also, my baby turns FIVE this weekend... just think, Nora was only 5 when Clara was born! It truly feels like a lifetime ago. That's all for me this week... hope you give my baked oatmeal a try! Happy FALL!!!! 🍁🍂 ~ Andrea |
