New on the Blog: 10 Easy, Family-Approved Zucchini Recipes. Welcome to midsummer! Summer is nearing the halfway mark for our family... which means we still have several weeks of "freedom" left. Although I'm a huge fan of school supplies, I just can't get excited about them yet. Give me another month! In the meantime, I'll keep serving up snacks to all the neighborhood kids who come to swim. That means 7 years ago, I had a 3-year-old, a 15-month-old, and a newborn... whew, life is sure a lot easier these days! Today is day 2 of Amazon Prime Day -- I'm not specifically promoting anything, but I have several "favorites" listed in my Amazon Store. You might be able to score a deal on a few right now. Did you know you can grow your own green onions by simply placing the "root ends" in water for a few days and then planting them directly into the ground or into a pot with soil!? We tried it this summer and have been cutting lots of green onions from our garden each week! This could be a fun experiment with your children or grandchildren.
