New on the blog: A Few of My Favorite Things (January) Happy 2022 from snowy & sunny West Michigan! For those of you who don't have the pleasure of living in West Michigan during the cold winter months, you might not realize how amazing it is for the sun to shine here in January! Thanks to lake-effect weather, we can often go weeks (even months) without seeing the sun each winter. In fact, our kids equate "sun" with warm weather and "clouds" with cold weather, so these last few days of sunny skies have left them puzzled as to why they still need to wear coats and boots outside! Snow + sun is a favorite of mine during the winter months -- especially when it's the pretty white fluffy snow (as opposed to the brown sleet it will eventually melt into). I'm sharing many more favorites in this month's Favorite Things post -- recipes, books, a favorite iPhone setting that makes my photos practically look professional, and more!
