| Welcome to this edition of the Gallup Brief, giving you our top five reads: | | 1. Capitalism Still King, Sort of | | | Capitalism remains positively viewed by six in 10 Americans, while socialism as a brand has made little progress, stuck at 38%. More Democrats view socialism positively (65%) than view capitalism positively (52%). But while a majority of Republicans (56%) have positive views of "big business," more than half of Americans in general (53%) view it negatively.

About one in three U.S. adults (34%) currently rate their mental health as "excellent," down from 43% in 2019.
