Happy Tuesday! I was recently talking with my mom about the fact that high school was half my lifetime ago... and Dave and I were reminiscing about my crazy idea to start something called a "blog" exactly 11 years ago this month. Time flies, my friends. As of tomorrow, I will be another year older... Hello, 36! New on the Blog: --> Outsmart Summer Boredom with Fun To-Do Lists For years now, Dave and I have made something we call a "Fun To-Do List" for our children during Summer break, Christmas break, Spring break, etc. as a way to make everyday life at home feel more... well... FUN! Stop stressing about planning exciting outings, expensive vacations, or elaborate craft projects for your kids and grandkids... let me show you a much simpler (and cheaper) way to outsmart summer boredom in this week's post! From The Archives: SIMPLE SUMMER RECIPE >> Fruit Pizza << Use some seasonal berries (or whatever fruit you have on hand) to make this irresistibly yummy (and very kid-friendly) dessert. Make it in one large pan or as smaller "cookie-size pizzas" and let everyone decorate their own! QUICK DECLUTTERING TIP: >> Why I Don't Repurpose Everything << I love repurposing furniture, clothing, and even dinner leftovers to creating something new and more usable. However, there are times when we just need to donate, recycle, or trash various items. If you feel guilted into hanging onto things "just in case", this post is for you! CLEANING HOW-TO: >> DIY Cleaning Products << If you're stuck inside due to the summer heat, take a few minutes to whip up a few DIY cleaning products. They are so much cheaper and almost always use child-friend / pet-friendly ingredients -- get all my simple recipes here! Cheers to birthdays, blogs, and beating summer boredom!! ~ Andrea |
